I want Buckeye fans to step back and take a deep breath. Get off the ledge. There is plenty of chatter out there that Josh Shaw will pick Florida before the month is out. He has been talking about Florida since his visit and is now going back. It looks like a just to make sure visit. We didn't get a just to make sure visit. I have not heard anything one way or the other from my own sources so I cannot confirm or deny. I am resigned to it. I was never really convinced but it was USC that I was afraid of. A California kid turning down USC to come to Ohio State was something I had a hard time wrapping my mind around. Calm down. Everything is going to be alright.
You have to like where we are with Joyner now. Who would you rather have, Joyner or Shaw, is a a question that you will get different answers to depending on who you ask. I like
Shaw better because of the size but that is the only difference between them. Joyner has reportedly dropped Florida State because of Mickey Andrews leaving. I think the entire situation at Florida State has led him to that decision. It is far from certain that Bobby Bowden will be back. There was a report that Joyner enjoyed his Notre Dame visit best of all. He has a teammate who looks to be a Fightin' Irish verbal soon in Brandon Lindner. Why would a kid that is thinking about winning, and worried about the coaching situation, want to wade into the mess that could come out of Notre Dame after the season? What is the difference between Notre Dame and Florida State?
Cullen Christian is still out there. He is not much behind Shaw and Joyner on my board and we get him last.
In the end it comes down to this. Christian Bryant and Latwan Anderson will be Buckeyes. Any other year, when we are not hearing about these national kids looking this way, we would be very happy about getting Bryant and Anderson. Both are on just about every top ten list you will find.
Calm down.
